Some decisions are just difficult to make. We make decisions every now and then but we always end up failing.
It is one thing to will, and it’s another thing to invite God to help. Your willingness is required though, but you can’t do it on your own except God intervenes, and He won’t intervene except you call him. God knows and sees everything but He still expects us to call Him into our situations. He does not poke nose.
Now, what is it you’ve been struggling with? What is it you so desire to drop? Are you also doing what you don’t want to do? And you find it difficult to do what you want to do? What is that situation in your life that fits perfectly into this word that says “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak?” You need the intervention of the Holy Spirit. You need Grace and God alone can give you that. If you lean on flesh you’ll keep rising and falling. Flesh will only help you to continually struggle. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you see yourself glowing spiritually.
Mind you, the experience is not just a onetime experience; it’s an every moment thing. Always asking for the infilling of the Holy Spirit at all times and dwell more in His presence.
Jesus loves and cares for you. You are not condemned. “There’s now no condemnation for them that are in Christ Jesus”.
NB: The devil isn’t resting, so we need not rest spiritually. Don’t be satisfied with your present state. Crave for more of God. Nobody can say he/she has attained the highest point spiritually; we are all working and walking towards perfection.
I appeal to you to always thirst and pant after righteousness.
GOD BLESS YOU.
